auf der Homepage der Herzoglich privilegierten Altschützengesellschaft zu Gotha e. V. – einer der ältesten deutschen Schützenvereinigungen.
Unsere Gesellschaft war Ausrichterin des ersten nationalen Schützenfestes, bei dem 1861 in Gotha der erste deutsche Sportverband, der Deutsche Schützenbund, gegründet wurde.
In unserem Verein kann man sich auf vielfältige Weise engagieren. Neben dem Schießsport nach den Regeln des DSB – in den klassischen Kugeldisziplinen ebenso wie im Bogensport – pflegen wir mit Leidenschaft unser Schützenbrauchtum.
Besonderen Wert legen wir auf die Jugend- und Nachwuchsarbeit, etwa durch das Lichtschießen für Kinder bis 12 Jahre.
Aktuell ist unser Verein in fünf Sparten gegliedert, in denen sich unsere Mitglieder aktiv beteiligen und engagieren können.
